About my Individual Mentorship program:
Are YOU trying to improve your skills in painting and drawing? Are you working to build a body of work and become a professional artist? I know that it can be lonely when you can’t get the personal feedback you need. Staying motivated and on track is hard without support.
My mentorship program is ideal for an advanced student or emerging professional artist, working in a realist or representational style. Perhaps you are ready to leave the “atelier” and build your own body of work, but the gaps in your knowledge seem daunting and you need input on how to build compositions and cultivate your unique creative voice. Maybe you are a working artist who feels ready to change direction, are feeling blocked, or struggling to create the work that “feels like your own.” Maybe you need professional advice about time management, gallery presentation, and promotion to gain more professional success. I work with artists with a broad range of styles and subjects within the universe of representational art.
As your mentor, I will:
- Learn about your current skills to help you create your own plan for working toward your creative goals
- Be your accountability partner for the goals you set
- Critique your work to help you improve your satisfaction with your painting, and the impact it is achieving
- Spend 30 minutes with you weekly with a one-on-one video call for support and professional development
You:
- Have spent at least 18 months of time invested in developing your skills in visual art
- You can dedicate at least 10 hours a week to your creative work.
- Are ready to make your creative work a priority to support your personal growth and wellbeing
My mentees have had their first solo shows, developed a cohesive body of work, clarified and focused their ideas, improved composition and technical aspects of their work, learned about promotion, catalogs and documentation, write an artist statement, created promotional material and social media campaigns, and in their own words:

Subscribe: Mentorship is $275/ monthly (4 weekly sessions, 30 minutes each), subscribe through Paypal. I will meet you on Zoom, at a regularly scheduled time, typically Mondays and Tuesdays. 2X a month and monthly sessions available to ongoing mentees. You will not be billed during vacations or scheduled breaks.
Beginning Mentorship: A new program begins with an 8 week series for a package rate at $525, in which we will review your current body of work, studio practices and work space, establish personal goals, and identify areas of growth. Most mentees continue after the initial series with weekly or bi-montly programs for anywhere from 6 months to several years.
